Exploring the Storytelling and Creativity of Voice, Next Installation air festival Presented in person at the Weiss Hotel (80 West Ave, N. 11th Street, Brooklyn) from February 24-26, 2022. The event will comply with all local, state and federal recommendations and protocols.
The annual gathering – often referred to as “Audio Sundance” – brings together creators and industry luminaries in audio and podcasting for two days of live storytelling, intimate conversations, performances, art exhibitions, Listen to parties and more. The festival will unfold across multiple spaces at the Weiss Hotel, including its main hall, screening room, performance suite, restaurant and bar.

Additionally, Radiolab’s Jad Abumrad will receive the prestigious On Air Fest 2022 Audio Pioneer Award, an annual award honoring individuals who have cultivated a creative legacy in audio storytelling. Joining previous Audio Pioneer Award winners Terry Gross (2021) and Ira Glass (2022), Abumrad has been praised for his innovative work as co-founder of the wildly popular radio show, set to launch in 2022 20th anniversary year.

“Our approach is to find experimental, innovative and unique voices,” says Jemma Rose Brown, director of work x work programming. “We don’t believe in having a ‘best’ podcast, instead we’re always curious to meet and showcase creators who bring unique contributions to the medium.”
